Timeless/ Poem

Timeless

I am a woman who walks through time

my feet keep the thorns

and the wisdom of the  paths

My hair preserves the smell of the grass

And the color of the prairies

Healer with traces of magic in my hands

of a time without permission  to attend

births and seals wounds

In the dawn,  scars still burn

marks of the bonfire of dead centuries

Sometimes my words  intersect

with the voice of my ancestors

repeating who  I am or what I ought to be

under  the rain of every single day

I get rid of my weariness, with the footprints

of women of all times

having over this shattered body

the duty of seduction

Put the black dress, and your lipstick on

seduce me, lose some pounds, cinch your waist

put on high  heels,be discreet when you laugh

smooth out your wrinkles

When you come to work, Carmina

wear loose clothing

hide your breast, your hips!

Sometimes, when I walk the city

empty of gazes, and the night smells like tiredness

mine, are the drops of water running down my back

A deep sigh returns to me the questions

Who in this afternoon looks at you when I look at you?

who will love you in me tonight

when the words cease?
